ORD LOH!!!
thats the best thing that has happened to me in....like maybe the past 2 years? ranked closely at second best is my acceptance into UNSW, but this, this is on a different level. 2 long years of sweat and toil and crap and plenty of nonsense. not forgetting saikang. for those of you who have no idea what that is, good for you. but for those who have a feeling you're about to know, trust me. it is nothing good.
but, enough of the bad. today is reserved for good. yeah, it was a struggle to get my pink ic, even today, due to who else but the unreasonable unmentionable. he made things difficult, but my spirits were still high. he didn't have much longer to throw his fat arse around(oops) so i'll just give it to him. after that, Kay and Daniel went around searching high and low for all the required signatures. in the required order. damn the military. anw, thank you guys. mid-way through that, things weren't looking too good and it did seem that we would have to come back another day to get our pink ics, but somehow, we weren't going to give up. in the end, zhenxin at s1 declared that all that was nessecary now were our 11bs(they can have that), dog tags, and the red and blue booklets. once that was all settled, all that was left to do was wait. while waiting, i discovered that yew keng had won 4D 3 times using our ORD date. damn. i gotta try that sometime, if i know how to even buy 4D. well anw, with all said and done, i was the first to get my pink ic. it still hasn't sunk in yet. but with the grin plastered on my face, i guess some of it has.
anw, this is also a tribute to the corporals still taking the shit. hang in there guys, 3 more months and you can spit and curse and swear goodbye to hell. for now, you just have to prevent yourself from tearing that arse apart however attractive that thought might be. this one goes out to all of you.
for now though, let us, lance corporals revel in the joy of ORD.
