had a not so good time in camp again, but that's not to be wholly unexpected. it is hell after all, and i just hope i can stop whining about it soon.
anw, lets major on the minor, and minor the major for once. i got like bloody 10+ at last count mozzie bites in just 3 days in camp. and i have only one kill to account for all that damage. 10+ is simply because i gave up keeping track of all the bites. i must seem particulary attractive since i havent been back to camp for...2 months? soon, it's going to be a number closer to forever. just thinking about it, i get so happy. no more being under the "command" of those bastards, especially fatarsed. the anomaly to the great name of lincoln. for goodness sakes, he is an insult upon himself. its really a wonder if disgusting creatures such as those could manage any good.
ok ok, i think that's enough, both the whining and swearing and the term of sevice. all bad things come to an end. and every cloud has a silver lining, i just need to find this one. ok...shift focus
recently, i heard that my aunt was buying a cousin of mine a laptop. the purpose? to support the brand new ipod mini she just bought for him. and why does a boy all of 13 years need an ipod? because everyone has one, that's why. if he doesn't have one, he and his friends would have nothing to talk about. so my poor aunt, not wanting her son to be left out, went to get him a $300plus gizmo which he barely even knows how to operate let alone discuss at length with his so-called friends. my brother was even commenting the other day that he doesn't even know how to register his product of something. he apparently stared at the screen, searching for half an hour to locate that link and my brother simply took one glance and oh, there it is. clearly, there are problems here that need addressing, not least that of the ease of my aunt getting expensive gizmos for my cousin. plus, he's started downloading songs too, at the cost of $1.99 a pop. pricey, even for one song. my music library is roughly 2000+ songs big? that multiplied by $1.99 is by no means a small number, in fact it is quite large, and not a number you would like to see on your credit card bill, that's for sure. somehow, i wonder if thats the way kids these days are behaving, getting gadgets they don't need at all for the sake of impressing others, or simply for the sake of having one. no wonder they keep saying that kids don't know the value of money...
