Alright...after Edwin's wedding reception, went with Kay and Kantan to Suntec, in hopes of getting some shirts from G2.
Ended up catching a movie instead, and a lousy one at that. Creep. So the trailer looked interesting. But...the show was horribly predictable. So, it was scary at times, more like shocking, but still predictable at almost every turn. i could even predict down to the second when the scares would come, after being startled the first 2 times. The show simply was impossible, and very frankly, i found myself thinking pretty analytically through the show. Pre-cursor to an attack? Rats, appearance of rats would mean that that character was next to go. And the show just had plenty of contradictions. Like how the monster slashes and kills his victims, but still captures 2 alive, and apparently refuses to kill them. He'd rather check on them every 5 seconds or so. Also, he's incredibly strong and agile when it comes to chasing victims and hitting them around, but drag a dead body...man, that's almost too much for him. Also, you wonder...why does he start with his attacks now, and not any earlier. His attacks seem to be neither publicised, nor an urban legend. And frankly...the story about how the gal ended up missing the last train and how the guy who fancies her ends up there with her...too much of a coincedence. I mean come one....one too many mistakes and the movie's down the drain. Ok, concession, i'm not a horror movie fan, but that was too much. All that made it scary was the shocks, the musical score and the lighting, or sometimes lack of it. I'd rate it as one of the worst i've seen in recent times, while The Pacifier which i caught mid-week would be a so-so. Sure, it had plenty of mistakes, but it's a Disney movie. Kids don't spot those mistakes, only people who've been in the military would know about them. Still predictable, but only cuz i've seen enough and love to spot patterns. Else, i'd rate that higher. Good clean fun family show. Haha, turning into a movie reveiwer now.
