Okay...so the impact of being offered a place in UNSW's Life Sciences Foundation Year program still hasn't really sunk in. Maybe its simply cuz i dun wanna think much about it. I guess it scares me sometimes to think about it. Makes you feel that your dream is coming true, in parts. Your plan is falling into place. It's really scary...how you dream about it all the time, feel that it's so much bigger than you, that you try to break it down into bite-sized pieces, and now you can actually chew. Alright...musn't let all this get to my head...else complacency'll creep in. I'm still a long long way from my straigh As and an offer letter for the MBBS program.
But...first things first. KL trip. Got back day before, 7 plus hour ride on the train, this time all through the day...no sleepers. So...no, i didn't catch any sleep. Was the only one of the 7 to not catch any. Well....the trip wasn't that bad...not bad scenery, and yes...Malaysia along the rails is stil VERY backward...as compared to rather modern Singapore. Had a horrible Ramly ayam burger and instant noodles on board the restaurant carriage...nothing much, but better than nothing. Bought the Assassini at KL Sentral but only caught like the first few pages of it. So i'd rather read more mags on rides. Fine...learnt more abt myself then.
As for the trip.....not too bad. We walked less than when we first went, ventured much less too. And this time...we were alot fiercer. My lingo. Personal haul? 2 pair of shoes, 1 blue Nike Total 90 court shoes, and 1 apricot brown Adidas Antelope. Convincing bootlegs no less. Also in the bag was 1 green polo t-shirt and 1 black Adidas jacket. Okay...maybe that wasn't as much as some of the others...but considering the fact that i had no intention of getting shoes...it's a lot to me.
Food wise...we were more adventurous. I had blood cockles this time....to hell with cholera. Thankfully, i'm immunized against Hep A and B. Also had some fired oysters and....and...adn...okay...nothing all that mcuh else then. Went back to that beef noodles stall again. Hmm....nothing all that terrible this time around. Oh oh wait...we had Ramly burger straight form the road side stall this time. It was fantastic. I had the beef version, freshly cooked, with plenty of greens and what not. Wow. Never had it so good in Singapore too.
This time...with Mao coming along, you can bet girls were coming more into the equation. He chatted up a gal at Mid-Valley on the first day there, and got her number. That was the high-light of his trip, coupled with the half day he spent with her on friday. The rest of us? Well we chatted up some girls too. 2 of them. From china. One had huge boobs...but i didn't notice them...honest. I was looking more at the other one. The prettier one. She had this gothic air about her, and neither were my type, but what the heck. She reminded me of Emily... So yes Ruth...maybe i was ABIT interested...but that's all. So we looked at each other and smiled...thats all...end of story. I do wonder though, if i were more interested and got her number and/or email to keep in touch. Well it didn't happen, so i need not think.
All in all...not a bad trip. If you want more details...you can always come ask me...buy me coffee...hey that'll get you more...better still...buy me a dinner...i've been craving for pasta...
