Finally...our KL trip is 80% settled. The room's been booked, the coach tickets all set and our leave and exit permits have checked through. Only thing left is for us to stand down from the stand-by and then off we go. Frankly...this has been a great eye-opener for me. I always thought that holidays were easy to pull off...never again will i think that way. At this age...and hopefully this doesn't stay that way...the holiday is all about budget, budget, budget. Oh and finding sponsors too. After much scouting and hunting for the best bargains...we finally got what we wanted...let's just hope it turns out better than we expect it to.

Well then...decided to go look for the Windstruck OST at Tiong Bahru Plaza today. Didn't think that i would find it there, but it was a good excuse to go take a look around at TBP and see what's changed. Still remember the secondary school days...when that was the usual hangout till i got hooked on soccer... Decided to walk home from there after that...and that was a journey to be enjoyed.

Decided on a route through the backlanes of Tiong Bahru and i must say i definitely enjoyed it. The place gave me this very "un-Singapore" feel. Coupled with the tracks filtering through my ears, i really felt quite..."out-of-this-country"? Haha...i really don't know how to describe it...but i guess the line from Clarity sums it up. "But this morning, there's a calm i can't explain." How apt.
Amazing what taking a journey on foot instead of using mechanized transport can do to you.

Speaking of that song...i think it really has yet another line that sums up my week; By the time I recognize this moment, this moment will be gone. Wondering what i'm going on about? Here's the background. The bubble tea store at the place we affectionately call 933 has this really pretty girl-next-door. Her large eyes and sweet smile has metled practically every guy's heart. Well...everyone i know who's seen her has been smitten.

And this week, before heading back to camp after nights out, we went to get drinks from her stall(where else?) Turns out all the drinks there were sold out...so we went to her rivals just further down. While over there though, i'm abosolutely positive she kept looking in my direction. Lawrence was beside me...and it was Lawrence who spoke to her first(and went on through the night about how sweet she was...very chio!!!) and so i first thought she was looking at him not me. But...there always is one...our eyes met...and i hope i smiled...but we someone didn't break contact till i accidentally stepped on something and paused to look. After that...i stilll caught her looking over... Fantasy? You decide. She isn't exactly my type...but i have no one in mind so she maybe a welcome distraction. And according to resident Cassanova MaoMao...i should approach her and get her number...quick. Like it matters to me. Well...next week maybe.

As for this week...besides that high point...i got lucky twice...haha...once during stand-by activation when my rusty muzzle was covered up and another when i bet on Ecuador and won. Everyone thought i was throwing my money down the drain...but look who's smiling now. Spain against England? I predicted the correct score and the correct winning side...only to buy the opposite. Got lotsa stick for that...but who cares....it's all for fun isn't it.
