Man its been a long time...so long that i forgot both my user id and password...what a dork...
The past few days...weeks or whatever hasn't really been good for me...the highest note is that I finally went back to CHC for 1 service after an absence of like...4 to 5 months? Went to CG after that...felt kinda weird...

Yes Dave, that nights off was God's way of allowing someone to convince me to get back....whether or not i'd stay is still up to me, and i haven't made a decision on that point yet...only time will tell.

Day by day in the army, i, sadly, hate the saf more n more, n that hate is overlapping to inlcude even the country...horrors...sure NDP was fun, and the post-parade euphoria was...well...euphoric...but somehow on that day i felt torn. National Day Parade itself was the 1 and only parade where i DID NOT sing the National Anthem...weird isnt it? Somehow Advance Australia Fair stuck in my mind...and that almost came out of my mouth...i remember sitting in the bus on the way back n thinking, am i betraying myself by pledgin allegiance to this country and then running off to another when the chance comes? Looking at all the ppl on the roads enjoying the atmostphere, i truly almost cried, feeling so at home and so far away at the same time. i simply don't see my future here...why? I'd like to know myself. I remember the crowds looking at us, smilling, waving, thinking that it was such an honor to be in the parade for your country...making us seem like heroes...and all i was thinking was...if this pride of theirs is misplaced in me...here i am intentionally uprooting myself...when everything's been all laid out for me...is it because i want to live my own life and not something pre-planned?

What the heck.

Yesterday, our trip to seletar camp was...fun-filled and action packed to say the least. Our fantastic idiot-of-a-PS lost his bearings again...fab...absolutely fab. Must've been in dream land thru most of the trip. We did huge U-turns when some simple improvised navigation could do the trick. Better still, when we finally ended up in seletar camp, our nit-wit brought us on tour again...Off-road plus rain plus horrible ground conditions make for a fun ride. We ended up going all around the off beat tracks, to places where we had our Gemini/Mini-Cub ATC areas...better still...that goon almost led us into the jungle, thankfully, the driver had enough brains to defy his orders and go on his way. Naturally, a red-faced PS greeted us on arrival at seletar camp. His tai-chi was in full swing too..."it's the driver's fault, blah blah blah"....yeah right...and William Gates stole my idea for world domination. Turns out that the two other platoons had reached...much earlier...they were already asleep by the time we arrived, flat out on the beds....sick...Fucking Zai...

0345am and we're wide awake...well..ok..minus the wide...all of us dragged ourselves out to do our duties...some stupid run this is turning out to be...As usual, armed to the teeth with things we don't really need, we set off to our spots...after a surprisingly edible breakfast....
Turns out the last 5 of us were deployed on paper, and paper only. Our "round-about" didn't exist or wasn't used...so the last 5 of us were deployed along the last 500m of the run. Man was the wait long....chewed through my pack of vanilla wafers and still no runners in sight...Karthik was so bored that his messages barely had any meaning to them...then the first runner came...
Boy was he fast....that indian guy....couldn't even see his hair style....or number tag...i think that guy cld do 2.4 in the time i needed to warm up for it...and from then on i never got to sit down. Fun job, marshalling turned out to be...traffic police more likely...i just don't understand some drivers though, they just have to get their way, so i decided after a few attempts to let them have a go at each others necks...Bloody hell...
The appreciative drivers did lighten things up abit though, i've now decided to acknowledge whoever controls traffic now...even if i dun have a license at the moment.

When the run finally wrapped, we took a long walk out of camp and i was initially headed to Jalan Kayu for roti prata...Karthik was going on about it the whole day yesterday....best thing was that he didn't know how to get there, or even where it was...so i ended up at Hougang Mall KFC with Wei Lun and Co. Went home after that and slept...and CMed till now....not bad...

My CM team is getting better and better(for those who want to know)...too many good players for the same positions...bad idea...gotta do something about it soon.

A new car has been added to my dream car garage...a pragmatic, sporty, luxury 4-door....now i know where i'm headed...the elegant Maserati Quattroporte....can't prononounce the name? Never heard of it before? Think its Bloody expensive? Thats why i want one....or two, or three...just for the colours and options combinations...
